2005: BROAD HAVEN Click on a photo to see a larger version. The weather was quite miserable to begin with, but that didn’t put us off. We started the weekend off diving Stack Rocks. The visibility wasn’t great but there was plenty of life to be found. The next day we visited The Dakotian, mined in WWII with no lives lost, but as the visibility decreased we decided to cut the dive short as we didn’t want to swim into the wreck by accident. A shame, but it wasn’t where I wanted to start learning about wreck penetration. The experience on the nearby Behar was better with much clearer visibility. There are piles of cables and chains around the wreckage, and plenty of structures still standing proud of the seabed. Thanks Paul for organising yet another wonderful weekend away, and thanks Jessica for the photos. LB |
