In March we took the new club boat to Bridlington to try her out. The weather was excellent and the sea very calm, we managed to get the boat up to about 34 knots with three people and kit on board. Thanks to Paul, Bryn and Denise we had a great day even thought we didn't manage any diving.

Derby BSAC had a fantastic evening to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the club. Thanks to all who helped organise the event. We even managed a mention in the Bygones section in the Derby Evening Telegraph!

Derby BSAC are in the process of purchasing a boat to replace Tornado... Although the new one is roughly the same size, it has a much more powerful engine and will therefore increase our safety margins. We're looking forward to taking it out for the first time. Photos and more details to follow.

A link to the Dive Trip Notification Form has been added to the Dive Calendar page so it is readily available to club members organising trips. The link opens the file in PDF format so save the document on your computer and print as many copies as you need.
If you don't have access to any of the critical components for this (i.e., a printer), you can still get copies by the conventional method of accosting Diving Officer Graham or another suspicious-looking club member!

Club members remember: if you have any fund raising (or other) ideas for the club or a charity of your choice, please get as much info as you can and 'submit a proposal' to the committee. By doing this, we can make sure ideas are properly considered and put into action quicker!
