Learn to Scuba Dive with the Derby Branch of the British Sub Aqua Club.

The Derby BSAC was established in 1959 and is a friendly, sociable club. Diving is an activity where you rely upon your buddy and for that very reason Derby BSAC is a great place to learn as we have a great group of people who can really be trusted and depended upon.

BSAC is an internationally recognised organisation, with it's qualifications focused on safety as well as enjoyment. Please see the Training section for more details.

Our regular club night is on a Wednesday, where we meet between 9pm and 10pm at the Queen Street Leisure Centre in Derby to use the Gala Pool. These sessions are used both for pool training and swimming. We then wander the short distance to one of the near-by pubs for a drink and to catch-up on forthcoming events.

Please click here for directions to the pool.

We recognize that it can be intimidating to contact or visit a new club, but you will find our Chairman, Sharon or our Diving Officer, Graham only too happy to talk to anybody about the Club and the basics of diving. Our contact details are listed on the site.

If you have ever considered learning to dive, or if you want to return to it after a break, then give us a call. We promise we'll be very friendly!
